It was the first band concert of the year. John is in Symphonic Band again this year.

While I could not see John while his band played, the band sounded great. Band is off to another great year!

Jim was playing behind the pillows on the guest bed today.

When I got back from running errands, I saw this.

I am pretty sure that is a cat trail. Jim is so weird.

The sign is ready, and John will ask Ari to Homecoming on Tuesday. I just need to pick up some flowers.

It was another day of marching band competition at Mizzou Champion of Champions.

The Hickman High Marching Band did us proud with the best run of the season in Finals.

John also got to see Caleb, one of his best friends since elementary school.

The Marching Kewpies ended up finishing third overall and placed in all the caption awards as well. It was not the result they were hoping for, but they did so well today! They have been getting better with every run through, and that is all that you can ask for.

The last competition of John’s Junior marching season is next weekend at Battle High School. Go Kewpies!

We are not empty nesters, but it sure feels that way sometimes with Laura at school and John at his girlfriend’s house. It was a quiet dinner at home and then out to Gunter Hans for drinks.

Sometimes, when you stumble across a great deal on Amazon, you spend the money. This time, it was Halloween pillow covers for $2.50 each. Our living room couch is now spooky!

Jim has decided that it is fun to pull open the dresser drawers in Laura’s room and pull out clothes. Cats are weird.
