Tomorrow, we decorate!
It was a busy Saturday with John working at Hickman High School for the All-State Band Competition, and Andy riding in Cranktivus, the best food drive on two wheels!

It was a record-setting year, and the Central Missouri Food Bank is the recipient of a lot of food and monetary donations!

What did I do, you ask? Well, I was not feeling well today, so I stayed home and did easy things. First, I worked on the 2026 family calendar that I always give to the grandparents.

Then, I made a batch of soap for my co-worker gifts. This one is an oatmeal soap base scented with Lavender, Peppermint, and Tea Tree.

Finally, I stuffed, addressed, and stamped our Christmas cards. They will be in the mail on Monday!

Our new family photos from Thanksgiving are officially on the wall in the Kassel Castle living room.

I think Laura likes her Advent Calendar books. It is only the second day, and she has already finished the first book and is 80 pages into the second.

Laura opened Day 1 of her Advent Calendar.

I have had a lot of fun planning and buying books over the course of 2025. By the time she finishes opening all 24, she will have a nice assortment of books to choose from. Up first was a book by Ben Hubbard titled, “Poison: The History of Potions, Powders and Murderous Practitioners”.

Enjoy reading, Red!
