Andy and Laura enjoyed some jazz at Broadway Brewery this evening. I was supposed to go with Andy, but I have been sick for two days. I am glad that Laura decided to go with Andy and that they got to spend some time together, but I was sad that I did not feel well enough to go.
Last year, Jim was very interested in the dining room Christmas tree. The ornaments are the perfect size to be played with by a cat, and he definitely had fun with some of them. Years ago, when we moved into the new house and put up that tree for the first time, I found initial ornaments for all of us at Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately, I put Andy’s “A” ornament too close to the bottom. In Jim’s zeal to play with anything ball-shaped, he ended up breaking it. So, I found these to replace them. So far, Jim is uninterested in the dining room Christmas tree, so maybe these will be safe!
Laura and I began putting ornaments on the Christmas tree this afternoon, and then I finished it this evening after she and Andy left for the Scout campout. Of course, I had to watch one of my favorite Christmas movies to help with the “mood.”
Once the tree was trimmed, I began wrapping presents.
Once I got started, I could not stop! I have a few more things that will arrive in the next few days, but everything that was here is now wrapped and under the Christmas tree.
Two big things have been accomplished, and it really feels like Christmastime in the Kassel Castle now!
