It is time to finish the Marching Band forms. Now, if I could only find the measuring tape, so that I could measure John for his uniform…

I think Scout camp did him in…

The homemade ice cream will be ready tomorrow to start eating!

Laura is a Daddy’s girl, so I don’t get to hang out with her that often (although, I am sure that Andy feels the same way about John because he is a Momma’s boy). Today, I took the opportunity with the other two Kassels at camp to take her out to brunch. It was a lot of fun even if my head was spinning from how fast she talks. It was time with my girl… How is she just two, very short years from graduating high school?!?

It is *that* day at the Kassel Castle. It is homemade ice cream day!

Up today is Blueberry, Coffee, and Mint Chocolate Chip. Coming later this week is Chocolate and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

I will have one remaining container after that. Maybe, I should make some traditional Vanilla? I am looking forward to the other Kassels getting home on Saturday. I think we have plenty of dessert for after dinner!
Carol and I spent the day talking, eating, and hanging at the pool with a tasty drink. We started the day with brunch at First Watch.

After a driving tour of our old homes, we spent the afternoon at the pool with margaritas. There is just something about hanging with a friend of 25+ years and enjoying every minute.

For dinner, we went to Addison’s downtown and enjoyed great drinks and some amazing Pulled Pork Nachos. It was an early night, but having Carol here was good for my soul.
