Holy cow! Andy and I got to watch the Mizzou Men’s Basketball team completely dismantle Kentucky. This is their second win over a ranked opponent in only two weeks. Is there finally a real team somewhere on the horizon?
The Kassel family loves to visit aquariums, so we thought we would give the one at Union Station in St. Louis a try.
The aquarium is nicely done, and there are many interactive exhibits. Of course, touching the stingrays is always a favorite.
Unfortunately, even the largest tank at the end was not enough for us to be truly impressed.
While the aquarium was nice, it was definitely too pricey for the 90 minutes that we were there. If our kids were younger, we would have spent much more time at the interactive exhibit, but $25 a person with teenagers is too much to pay. In any event, we did still enjoy the time there, and it was great to spend time with the teens. On a good note, we decided to swing by Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken for lunch since we had so much time. It was a great way to end our short visit to St. Louis!
Merry Christmas! Our day started pretty early (6:30 am!). Whoever said that teenagers do not get excited at opening presents apparently never met our teenagers.
The kids got a lot of neat gifts like a personalized compass, a personalized marching band ornament, Nintendo Switch games, books, and clothes. However, the new Google Pixel 7 smartphones were the big highlight for both of them.
Andy got a DripEZ BBQ prep tub with built in cutting board. It should make prepping meat for the smoker a lot easier.
After presents, we spent most of the day relaxing and then enjoyed a fantastic Prime Rib dinner.
We ended the night hanging out with Jeremy. It was a great Christmas Day for us Kassels – exactly the way we like it.
