Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
It was a quiet evening at our house watching the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

It was a busy day of Scout activities. First, both kids helped with the Pack 2 crossover, welcoming three new Scouts to Troop 706.

Then, John spent the evening helping with the Pack 733 Pinewood Derby. I think the “big Scouts” were happy to get to run their old Pinewood Derby cars on the track. Apparently, all four of John’s cars still reign supreme!

Andy and I spent the day in St. Louis. We ate great food, tasted great beer, and enjoyed the day together.

We need these days now and then!

The time to purge has come, and I am starting with the Legos and the shelf that held them all.

I love my career, and I really love the people in my office. They keep me going every day, and they make me push even harder to analyze all the data to make the right decisions. Having said that, this whole week has been one sort of work disaster after another. To top it off, we have squirrels literally CHEWING off the shingles on our roof and enjoying the solar panel array too. I finally gave up working for the day at 6 pm and made myself a Candy Cane Martini. Who freaking cares that it is February?!? I will enjoy this drink tonight and worry about problem solving tomorrow…

There are days when I am so thankful for my handy husband. Tonight, he replaced the heating element in our dryer. It is now time to do lots and lots of laundry!

It was the Winter Court of Honor for Troops 523 and 706 tonight.

Laura and John earned the “Citizenship in Society” merit badge, and both received beads for over 20 service hours. Laura was also recognized for earning the “Star” rank. Congratulations to both of them!
