While we were at WIU Homecoming yesterday, the SEMO Marching Band was the afternoon exhibition band at the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional. Throughout the day, I was getting pictures sent to me.
Laura was able to do this two years ago with SEMO, but this was John’s first time in the exhibition band. It is a huge difference when the point of your band is to entertain the crowd.
Between little green men at the SEMO table, crowd surfacing aliens, amazing sound, and TWO standing ovations, both of the kids were excited and happy after the performance.
College marching band is just not the same as high school, and I love that our kids are getting to experience all the differences!
