Ben, the youngest at the kids’ daycare, turned 2 and his birthday party was at Empire Roller Rink this afternoon. We had gone roller skating once before and Laura wouldn’t even consider putting on skates. This time, she was looking forward to it and excited to go roller skating. She did such a great job! She had a blast and just wanted to skate, skate, skate! I’m not sure who actually had more fun, though…Daddy or Laura?
John wouldn’t put on skates, but he still had a great time running around, “playing” the arcade games (no, I didn’t actually put money in them), and watching the other kids skate. Of course, he was very excited about cake and ice cream and watching Ben open his presents.
It was a great party and I’m sure we’ll be going back now and then to just roller skate. I didn’t put on roller skates this time as I was keeping an eye on John and taking a ton of pictures. I’m sure Andy will be sore tomorrow after chasing Laura around the rink for two hours!
