The kids have a new movie of choice, “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.” Kids LOVE this movie; adults not so much. It doesn’t matter what the adults think, because there is nothing better than “Sharkboy and Lavagirl” with your friend.
“Birthday” Treats
Laura had her “birthday” celebration at school today. We passed out sugar cookies with pink cream cheese frosting, the kids sang “Happy Birthday”, and Laura got to take the first bite. She was so excited to get to celebrate her birthday at school even though she has a summer birthday. On a side note, I was surprised when Laura’s teacher said that in the six years she has been teaching at Ridgeway, Laura is the first of her summer birthday students to have birthday treats at school. Sometimes, it’s good to be the first one!
Birthday Treats
Laura and I came directly home after I picked her up from school today. Tomorrow is her “birthday” at school. Since she has a summer birthday, she could choose a day to do birthday treats to celebrate her birthday. We made homemade sugar cookies with pink frosting. She insisted that we make 22 for her class and four for the Unit A teachers. She has already informed me that she will pass out the treats to her classmates. Then, she will eat her cookie and we can deliver the remaining three cookies to the other Unit A teachers. She’s a little planner just like her Mom…

Major Accomplishment
Check one more item off my “To Do List.” The office is clean! It was no small feat, let me tell you…. I went through three washcloths while dusting due to all the pollen! It’s done and it looks great! Bring on two weeks of company!
