We left Dave and Kristena’s about noon after breakfast at IHOP. It was a long trip home. The kids were tired and both Andy and I have a cold. We got home right about 7:30 pm and it was good to be home. Kids to bed and Andy and I to bed.
Mr. and Mrs. Scot and Sheila Dinsmor
Today, Andy’s younger brother got married. As Laura says, “I got a new Aunt!” The wedding and reception were held at Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva, WI. It was a beautiful place! The wedding was held in the outdoor courtyard. The weather was perfect and Scot and Sheila were so sweet. The reception was just a fun time. Laura got to dance with Daddy while I held John through a lot of it as he fell asleep about 8:30 or so. It was truly great to see everyone in the family! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dinsmor! May you have many, many years of happiness together!
Cousins!
Back to School Night
Laura’s school had an open house this evening. The kids made “themselves” from paper plates, paper bags, and construction paper.
Each one was set up in their seat so that families could see where their child sits. Laura led us around her classroom, to the gym to meet Coach (her P.E. teacher), to the art room, to the music room, and to the media room. We only spent about 25 minutes at Ridgeway Elementary, but you could tell that she is so proud of everything that she does. What a great time!
School Picture Day!
ABCs
While making dinner last night, John and Laura started singing the ABCs. For Laura, this is a regular thing, but it isn’t for John. In fact, it was the first time I have ever heard him sing it. I thought it was quite awesome, but I also wasn’t completely sure if he actually *knew* the song because he was more or less repeating after Laura. Well, this morning that question was answered! While getting him dressed, he sang the entire song by himself unprompted! Yay John!
