Gotcha Day!

Happy Gotcha Day to Colonel Cornelius von Frankenberger-Whiskers III (otherwise known as Jim, Jimmers, Jimmer Jims, Jimmy, Jimothy, Jim McJim, Jim Bim, Bubs, Bubbers, etc.)!

When you wandered up to Laura two years ago, I am sure that you had no idea what you were getting yourself into, but here you are. You are a ping-pong ball chasing, sleep on your back, take up more than half the bed, desk sleeping, tv watching, box sitting house panther. You are a true crazy toon, but we love you anyway. Somehow, the Cat Distribution System knew that we were ready for you. It has been a fun-filled (and sometimes frustrating) two years. We love you Big Bubs, and we are happy to call you ours.

Middle School Night

It was Middle School Night at the Hickman High School football game. Eighth-grade students from three middle schools joined the marching band on the field for pre-game. There were nearly 300 kids on the field!

It was another great performance by the Hickman Marching Band, and it was another win by the Hickman football team. It was a fun Friday Night Lights!

Visiting WIU

In between college visit fun,…

…Andy and John took part in some traditions like taking pictures with Rocky…

…and eating a pony at Jackson Street Pub.

If only they had enough time to swing by the marching band practice field for a little “Georgia on My Mind.” John enjoyed the visit, but WIU would not be at the top of his list because they do not have a dedicated veterinary technology program. However, he did not completely rule it out. I am good with that!
