This is reason #1,132 that Jim will eventually kill us in our sleep. He sure looks cute though!
No Candy
When Ari will not let John put the entire bag of candy in her car, but John says he is doing it anyway…
Done!
I was able to get the house decorated for Thanksgiving tonight.
I love our living room this time of year.
Fire Alarm
Just as I was beginning to pack up the Halloween decorations, my phone rang. There was a fire alarm at my work building, and I was asked to report the scene. Thankfully, there was not a fire, but the decorations will have to wait until tomorrow.
Time to Change
The Halloween decorations have been taken down. It is time to pack them up and change to the Thanksgiving decorations.
Kansas City Zoo
Andy and I visited the Kansas City Zoo today.
We had never been there before and decided to check it out. Of course, otters are always a favorite!
We also got to watch a team of divers cleaning the large tank in the aquarium. We were amused by how two of the divers were cleaning and one was watching for sharks.
We had a fun day wandering around and observing all the animals. It was a great end to our anniversary trip.
28th Wedding Anniversary
We spent our 28th Wedding Anniversary at Musket Cellars & Vineyards.
The winery is owned by Paul and Theresa Musket and their daughter, Kim. Paul was Andy’s first boss at the University of Missouri. The winery opened at the end of August this year, but we were not able to make it there until this weekend. We have known Kim since she was little and followed her adventures through her life, including learning to make wine. We very much enjoyed tasting all nine of the wines, and Kim has done a phenomenal job. The dry wines were all excellent, and we even liked the sweet wines though we would never actually drink them.
We ended up spending the entire day at the winery. We drank great wine, enjoyed the firepit, and spent time with friends that we had not seen in a while.
It was basically the perfect day.
