Damn you Candy Crush Saga for being so fun to play!
Roux!
We have had a house guest since Saturday. Meet Roux! He is Jeremy’s dog and he comes to visit us now and then. We actually keep a box of Milk-Bones in the house for him. It has been fun having a dog around for a few days. It was just enough time for me to get my “dog fix” and then send Roux home before I get annoyed at having a dog around all the time again.
Lesson #2
John received his second shoe-tying lesson from Daddy tonight. I think it’s only a matter of time because he almost did it on his own. Go John!
Big Day!
It was a big day for John! Daddy took him to buy his first pair of “tie shoes” and he got Mommy and Daddy all to himself tonight (Laura had a sleepover). Also, I let him choose dinner – pork chops, potatoes, and corn. After dinner, we played Wii Sports Resort, which was also selected by John. Fun times with our boy!
Mizzou Gymnastics!
We went to the Mizzou versus Kentucky Wildcats Gymnastics meet this evening. John was bored and indifferent, but Laura loved watching all the gymnastics. Kentucky won the meet, but we still love our Tigers! M-I-Z!
Shoes!
This morning, Big Sister had a shoe-tying lesson with Little Brother. Laura explained the process and John was very focused on listening and watching. She also took time to tell John that tying shoes can be difficult and that he will have to practice to do it well. She is a great big sister! Now, to get John some “tie shoes.”
Firsts
It was a morning of firsts. Laura made her own breakfast WITHOUT being prompted and John made his own bed. Time for me to sit back and relax!
