Next time I order from pizza from Gumby’s, I’m using the coupon. Too funny! Priceless!
Family Dinner
Oh Washer…
You have been so flawless for nine years *to the day* now and I realize you might be a bit tired, but I wish that you would have decided to break down during the week when I was just running one load of laundry instead of on Laundry Sunday. At least you let me wash a few loads of clothes before you quit. Hopefully, we will get you all repaired on Tuesday and make you all happy again. (BTW, special thanks to the Lowerys for letting me wash a load of laundry at your house!)
American Girl: Social Butterfly
Laura attended a Girl Scout event today called American Girl: Social Butterfly. The girls earned the “Social Butterfly” Junior-level badge that included lessons on manners, etiquette, social skills, and friendship skills along with solving an American Girl mystery. Laura had a great time and was so excited to get to attend a Girl Scout event with one of her American Girl dolls. She made sure that she and Lauren both wore their American Girl shirts and their Brownie vests. It was a fun morning with her troop mates. I am so glad that Laura is a Girl Scout. She loves it and all the new experiences!
Ah… Friday…
Yet Another…
…registration. It is the time of year when everything must be done at once – Girl Scout cookie delivery, yearbooks, Ridgeway t-shirt orders, Camp MUDD registration, taxes, Ridgeway FunDay preparation… Well, you get the picture. Check another one off my list! Camp MUDD registration for both kids is in the mail. We even gave in to Laura and decided to forego Summer School this year. She and John will be attending Camp MUDD for eight of the nine available weeks. At first, I thought that Summer School would be the better option because it would keep them in the school routine and save us a little money, but, really, they are kids. Let them have fun in the summers while they still can.
Date Night!
Date Night for Andy and I! (Special thanks to Jeremy for entertaining the kids for us!) We started with dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse. Andy had the 14-ounce Ribeye steak and I had the Sweet Bourbon Salmon. YUMMY! Then, we went to see the Mizzou Men’s Basketball game versus Vanderbilt. Mizzou eventually pulled it out with a 67-64 victory in the end, but neither team deserved the win. The score at halftime was 21-20 and the stats were terrible. Play in the second half was better, but only marginally so. At least, we had a great time watching Truman the Tiger running around as he was more animated than we have ever seen him. Truman and the woman on the “Kiss Cam” had to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time at a Mizzou sporting event! Despite the game, it was a great date night with the husband and I really enjoyed getting out of the house sans kids.
