We decided to play a little Uno tonight after dinner. Fun times!
Finally…
A big thank you to Jeremy and Chaley! Courtesy of Jeremy who took it to Chaley in St. Joseph, MO, so that she could get it framed at the Michael’s where she works, the painting of the Baars Family Farm from my Aunt Mona is finally framed. I’ve only had it five years now… I love the “barn wood” look of the frame!
Cookie Recognition!
Fun with Family
Even short visits with family are really great ones! We had lots of fun today just being with Dave, Kristena, Avry, and Addyson. We spent most of the morning in the hotel pool. The kids jumped, played, and jumped some more while the adults enjoyed some hot tub time.
After dragging them from the pool, we took the three younger kids to the Melvin Price Locks and Dam while Avry went to the St. Louis City Museum with the softball team. We got lucky and actually got to watch a barge go through the lock. The kids were bored until the big gates opened and all the water came rushing in…
We headed for the ball field about 4 pm to watch Avry in two more games. Her team won their first game and lost the second, but Avry played really well overall. We even got to watch her hit a home run! It was awesome! We are definitely going to have to go watch Avry again sometime!
And, just because I can’t resist this face…
It was a great weekend with the Blumes! It is home tomorrow for Girl Scout Brownie Cookie Recognition Day for Laura.
Let the Softball Weekend Begin!
We left today for Alton, IL, to see our niece, Avry, play in a softball tournament with her travel softball team. It was great to see Dave, Kristena, Avry, and Addyson! We spent most of the evening at the ballfield for Avry’s game. She did great! Kristena said that Avry has been in a bit of a hitting slump, but you would not have known that tonight! It was so fun to watch her play!
Laura and John were just so excited to get to see their cousins and they had a great time with Addy. Here they are enjoying Goldfish…
After the game, we headed back to the hotel for some drinks and relaxation. What a great night! LOVE those Blumes!
