We received an email recently requesting permission to test John during the fall for the gifted program, also known as Extended Educational Experiences (EEE), at Columbia Public Schools. I sent the permission form back today. Laura is in EEE and loves it. John was very excited that he qualified to be tested for the program. We explained that while he may not be accepted into EEE, he should be proud that he did very well on the kindergarten skills test. He promised to not be disappointed, but to work hard when he is tested. We are proud of that kiddo!
Things That Make Me Smile
“To Do” List Day
Today was my “to do” list day. I needed to get the house cleaned and accomplish a few other things. I am happy to say that I was successful in completing most of my list. Only laundry and updating today’s blog remain. I am about to cross one of those off the list and I only have two loads of laundry left to go. I think it is time to enjoy that large glass of Merlot…
Saturday Fun!
“Hangover”
Throwback Thursday
“Throwback Thursday” has an entirely different meaning for me this evening. I am reliving the DINK (double income, no kids) days for the night. Andy is in Illinois at Sigma Chi Grand Council and the kids are spending the night at Camp Mudd. I have the house to myself for an entire night and I can’t remember what life was like in the days when it was just the husband and me. It feels very, very strange and the house is almost too quiet. Maybe opening that bottle of wine will help me remember…
Kitchen Computer
We have a new kitchen computer! My old laptop was plugging along pretty well until John accidentally knocked over my wine glass onto the laptop. While Andy was able to save the laptop, he just decided that it was really time to replace it. The actual computer is tiny and it is attached to the back of the monitor. The new keyboard is washable. I love it!
