Since spelling is largely not taught in school at Laura’s grade level, Andy has been working with her at home. Every week, Andy underlines the misspelled words in her Family Communication Journal and then Laura writes the correct spelling on another sheet of paper. It is really making a difference as her spelling has greatly improved. Now, if we could just get her to stop reversing a “b” or “d”…
Thank You!
Laura says, “This is a big, big THANK YOU to everyone who bought Girl Scout Cookies from me!” Her pre-order total is 204 boxes of cookies and she is excited to receive her prizes. Thanks all!

Late Christmas!
The kids had a late Christmas with Uncle Jeremy tonight. Laura was so excited to open up the Lego Friends Juice Bar set. She wanted to start putting it together right away, but she will have to wait until tomorrow after church. I am sure she will have it together in less than an hour.
John was excited to get a Pellet Trap for his BB gun. He and Uncle Jeremy are looking forward to trying it out tomorrow!
Long Day…
A nice glass of wine is my reward after a long day of work! I left at 5:15 am to drive 3 1/2 hours to do an inservice in West Plains, MO. By the end of the day, I was told that it was the best professional development day that they have ever had. It was a great group of teachers and a great day, but, after nearly 14 hours between travel and work, I am ready for wine, relaxing, and early to bed.
