Bible
Laura received her bible from St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church today. This is a tradition for all third graders. She and Daddy went to a session with Pastor Paul yesterday to explore the new bible. Laura was very excited to discover that there are stickers to help her mark specific passages. She spent part of the day doing some reading in her new bible. I did not see her use any stickers *yet,* but I suspect that is coming soon!

Flashes…
It was announced at work today that our Associate Director’s position will be eliminated effective January 30, 2015. She is being laid off in part due to budget constraints, but also because ARC is getting a new Director starting February 2, 2015, and the College of Education wants to take the organization in a new direction. While this was not at all surprising, it is still disconcerting. It was flashes of my old job and what happened there. Let’s hope this doesn’t turn out to be another that. In the meantime, my resume is ready to go…
