Laura, along with some of her school friends, is attending the MU Cheer Clinic. There are two nights of clinic (today and Thursday) and then a performance on Sunday at halftime of the MU Women’s Basketball Game. Laura loved the first night and she is very much looking forward to Thursday. She talked all the way home about what she learned and how she is the flyer in her stunt group. She is one happy, excited girl!
Super Bowl!
Monster Jam!
So, Andy is the best dad *EVER* (at least for today)! He took John to Monster Jam at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. John was so excited to see all the “real” monster trucks.
Did I mention that Andy is the best dad *EVER*? He bought pit passes, so he and John got to wander around the pits and look at all the trucks up close. They also got to meet some of the drivers. It was a little boy’s (and big boy’s) dream! For the record, I think the pit passes alone would have been enough. As for the actual show?!? More excitement! They loved every minute of it. A great day for both of my boys!
Meet…
…Happy Retirement Man!! Seriously, I wish I was retiring, but, alas, he was not for me. The Director of my office is retiring and we had a retirement party for her today. This is Happy Retirement Man and we made everyone get their picture taken with him. I felt the need to hug him because he just looks so, well, happy!
Moving On Up!
Mizzou Women’s Tennis
Laura had a Brownie activity at Green Tennis Center today. The troop got to watch the Mizzou Women’s Tennis Team play a set and then get posters and pictures signed by them. They also had a tennis lesson with one of the coaches. When I picked up Laura, she couldn’t stop chattering about how awesome the Mizzou Women’s Tennis Team was. Thanks to all those girls for making Laura’s day! And… I have to buy a tennis racket and tennis balls now too. 🙂
One of Those Days…
I am having one of those days when you come home from work and pour a glass of wine, but then don’t drink it because you are depressed and afraid it will make you cry. However, I’m going to beat that feeling back, tip my glass back, and say, “Here is to tomorrow being a better day! Or at least not a big pile of poo.”
