Ahead of the Game

The calendars that I make every year for the grandparents and us have actually been delivered, and I was even able to take advantage of the great sales that Shutterfly has on calendars every holiday season. Christmas shopping is also complete, and all the presents are wrapped. I am ahead of the game this year!

Campout

My Scouts are at Camp Hohn for the gaming campout. John played a lot of video games.

Laura hung out with Caitlin and completed the last requirement for the camping merit badge.

Andy got to try out his new camping chair and sleeping bag.

They all got to eat great food, including pizza in the wood-fired pizza oven.

I will be happy to have them home tomorrow, but I am happy that they are having fun!

Wrapping!

Since 75% of the Kassels are heading to Camp Hohn for a campout this weekend, I decided to take advantage of having the house to myself. I enjoyed a Candy Cane Martini, watched Home Alone, and wrapped presents.

I laughed repeatedly at the movie, and I wrapped all the presents. It was a quiet evening that proved to be a great start to the weekend!

A Celebration of Winter

Tonight, we were treated to a great concert by the Hickman High School Music program.

“A Celebration of Winter” included the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Camerata Orchestra, and the Vocal Arts.

It was a fun evening filled with great music! I especially enjoyed the combined version of “Sleigh Ride.” Our kids are so lucky to be a part of this great music program. I cannot believe that this time is almost over for Laura.
