Vet

We took Jim to the vet today for a physical exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. We can no longer pretend that Jim might end up being claimed by someone else as we registered the microchip as soon as we got home. Welcome to the Kassel Family for real, Jim!

Interpreter Strip

Laura earned her Interpreter Strip for French at the Winter Court of Honor for BSA. She had to complete four requirements using the French language: carry on a five-minute conversation, translate a two-minute speech or address, write a letter, and translate 200 words from the written word. Congratulations, Laura!

Done

EMS Education signed off on Laura’s Eagle Project. That leaves the completion of five merit badges, and she is largely done with three of those. Keep going, Red, because the Eagle rank is truly within reach. I am so proud of you.

Food Prep February

Let Food Prep February begin!

By the end of February, there will be 8 or more freezer meals, lots of marinated chicken, burgers, tomato soup, and just general frozen goodness. I might even slip in some homemade ice cream.

Getting to spend a lot of February in my happy place so that our freezer can be full makes me smile.

It is time to get to work!
