Our Elf on the Shelf, Chippy, has been at it again. Sometime overnight, he wrapped presents for me. Love that Elf!
Ridgeway Choir Winter Concert
We attended the Ridgeway Elementary Winter Choir Concert this evening to watch John perform.
The Ridgeway Choir has been “on tour” as they had already performed three other times. They sang for the Optimist Club, the residents of Oak Towers, and for the students and staff at Ridgeway. John was very excited to finally get to perform for us. The theme was “Snowtastic” and you could definitely tell which songs John liked best. It was fun watching the kids perform and John did a great job despite being tired. Way to go kiddo!

The Empire Strikes Back
As part of the Extended Educational Experience (EEE) program, Laura gets invited to different activities. Tonight’s activity was for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and their families. We got to watch “The Empire Strikes Back.” While watching the movie, Andy and I joked about how advanced we thought the movie was when it first came out. It got us all looking forward to the new Star Wars movie that comes out this week!
Christmas!
Today was full of Christmas fun and traditions. First up, the St. Andrew’s Children’s Christmas Pageant. It was the first time that John actually participated and he was an angel. I made sure to take lots of pictures. It might be the *only* time he is an angel!
Laura was a shepherd. She did a great job herding her sheep!
After church, we visited Bob Evans for breakfast and then went to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa. We love visiting Santa there.
We finished the day making some Christmas cookies. Andy’s Aunt Diane shared an old recipe from Andy’s Grandma Vi that Andy used to love as a kid. They are called Oleo Cookies and, yes, they have lots of Oleo. They take a pound of butter! They are quite tasty though and Andy is very happy.
