Going Through Life One Post at a Time
I am making homemade refrigerator pickles. They will be ready in about a week for us to enjoy.
Laura spent the day celebrating her upcoming 18th birthday with her best friends. They went to Breakout COMO to do “The Gambler” escape room. They were successful and broke out with 10 minutes to go.
They spent the rest of the day eating good food and just hanging out. My kid has great friends. Happy Early Birthday, Laura!
The ambulance trainer that Laura helped build for her Eagle Scout project now has flooring, and the gurney rails and jump chair have been installed. EMS Education is also planning to have it painted within the next few weeks. This is such a cool thing to help train the next generation of Emergency Medical Technicians.
Well, I guess the creek bank finally eroded enough. It is time to call the tree service.
Chapman Heating and Cooling sent us thank you cookies today for working with them on replacement of our HVAC system. I realize that we spent a lot of money with them, but the cookies were a pleasant surprise!
Laura and I went shopping for her college dorm room today. We had a great time wandering through Target looking for pillows, a mattress pad, towels, plastic dishes, and a reading pillow. She suckered me into buying the frog throw pillow. She loved it, and she “needs” a throw pillow on her bed! There are only 34 days left to “SEMO drop-off day.”
