This is all the Girl Scout cookies that we have left to deliver. Almost there!
Busy Saturday
First up, Andy heads out on a bike ride with the Big Tree Cycling Team while the kids pose for a picture. It is a good thing they are cute!
Then, Laura cheered…
… for John’s Basketball game.
This was followed by a quick lunch at Subway and then off to Wilson Creech’s birthday party at Going Bonkers!
The Creech Family took John home so that Laura and I could work a cookie booth at Schnucks for her Girl Scout troop.
From Schnucks, Uncle B, Aunt Rachel, and Alia picked up Laura to take her to the Roller Derby in Jefferson City…
…while John went to Jaxon’s house for a sleepover. Since Andy and I didn’t have any kids for the evening, we went to Les Bourgeis Winery for their 20th Anniversary Celebration. It was good food, good wine, and good music.
But, after this day, I am tired!
Breakfast With Laura
I had a great breakfast at Panera with Laura before a busy day of delivering Girl Scout cookies and World Thinking Day!

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
It is the end of the second trimester at Ridgeway Elementary and time for Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. We picked up the kids after school and stopped in at the Scholastic Book Fair. We bought two books for each kid and one for each of their classrooms. Then, we met with Laura’s teacher, Mrs. Dempsey. Laura has a couple of things that she can work on – speaking more loudly in class and math, but overall she is doing well. Next, we met with John’s homeroom teacher, Mr. Gramke. He is doing well, but he needs to work on not disturbing others and practicing self-control. He is a social, popular kid and he likes to interact with others. Too much at times… We finished up the day meeting with Ms. Johnson, John’s reading teacher. He is making strides, which is a great thing to see.

The Look
That look that John gives right after he has done something well. In this case, he had just pulled up for a jump shot and hit nothing but net. He made sure to look at Daddy and I as if to say, “See what I did?”
Special thanks to Alan Marshall, Upward Basketball Coordinator, for *finally* capturing “the look” on camera! And yes, John is looking at Andy and I in this picture.
