While walking on the Bear Creek Trail today, I saw something swimming out of the corner of my eye. I did not turn fast enough though and did not know what it was. So, by the time I moved a bit closer, it was hiding behind the tree.

As I turned to return to the trail, I realized that a baby raccoon was staring at me from up in the tree.

I snapped a couple of pictures and then realized that momma was making sure that I did not get any closer to her baby.

When I looked back up, I realized that momma was actually making sure that I did not get any closer to her babies!

After snapping this picture, I moved away, but what a neat experience on the trail.
After a relaxing day, we spent the evening at the City of Columbia Fireworks display with Ari’s family.

We also were in a great location to watch Columbia’s fireworks display.

It was a great evening with friends and family!

Every night, Jim comes up to join me right after I get in bed. It is his nighttime “thing.”

And, here we are… John had has Senior photo session with Tamara Dee Photography today.

He just wanted to get it over with, so we did it early. He sure took some amazing photos.

These are just the behind-the-scenes photos, and Ari even joined for a few.

While Tamara was snapping photos, it occurred to me that she has been taking pictures of our family since John was two years old. How is that possible? Wasn’t that just yesterday?

I cannot wait to see the final product in a few weeks, but I am also sad. My baby is a Senior.

Our niece, Addyson, is here to visit for the next three weeks. It is so fun listening to all the laughter from this great group of kids.
