Time to watch the Season 7 Finale!
First Baseball Game
It was John’s first baseball game of the season tonight. The boys almost came back to tie the game, but came up one run short. John got the final out, but suffice it to say that he was actually safe on second. The umpiring was inconsistent at best.
Andy and I were both really proud of him tonight. He played really hard and gave it his best even though he was tired from the weekend. Most impressive is that the kid is actually quite the catcher. It might be time to consider focusing him a bit more on a specific position…

Red Shoe Ride!
I kept my promise to Andy. I told him that if he got me a road bike, I would ride the Red Shoe Ride. While he and the Big Tree Cycling Team led off the 62-mile route,…
…I went 36 miles with friends! The weather could not have been more perfect – 80 degrees and sunny – to enjoy a ride with good friends. Thanks to Julie, Jordan, and Sheila for all the fun!
We finished in just under four hours and spent the rest of the afternoon on the Shakespeare’s South patio enjoy the beautiful day.
It was a great day and lots of fun! Big thanks to Andy for being patient and for encouraging me in this new cycling journey. I am sorry that we didn’t get to ride more together today! Also, a big thanks to Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa Ken for watching the kids for us!
