The weather has also cooled considerably this week, so I figured it was time for our fall decorations.
It was so nice to actually be able to decorate this year because there is no packing or buying/selling a house.
Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
Laura and I finished up her Get Moving Journey for Junior Girl Scouts today. Her group made pillows from leftover fabric and grocery bags. I helped to sew the pillows while Laura stuffed them with the grocery bags and then hand sewed them shut. It was a neat project that taught Laura’s troop how to use materials in new and different ways. It is also another project completed on the way to Laura earning the Bronze Award!
When I got my new road bike and started cycling again, I really had two goals in mind – to spend more time with Andy doing something he loves and to ride 500 miles this year. I realized tonight that I have actually ridden 600 miles so far this year. Since I will not really ever “accomplish” my goal of spending more time with Andy doing something he loves because it is more of an “on-going” type of goal, I guess I need to redo my other goal. Onto 1,000 miles!
It was baseball picture night for John’s team.
This is the full team.
John also had a game tonight. He pitched the first inning. The first batter was a little rough, but after that he settled down. The first out was a caught fly ball and then John struck out the last two batters. He also hit a double, scoring a run. John played hard again and the team won 6-5!
