It is that time of year again…
Let Baseball Season Begin!
John’s baseball team had their first double header of the year tonight.
The boys were excited, yet very nervous. For their first two games together as a group, they played well despite losing. They made some mistakes in the field, but did well batting. The umpires were not the best, and that led to some problems while the boys were in the field as well. There were several balls called that were clearly strikes and the umpires also could not seem to tell when a ball was a foul tip. Despite all of that, the boys kept their heads in the game and played hard. John finished the night going 2 for 2 and 1 walk.
Great job Withrow Shockers!

Squeezing In
Andy and I squeezed in a ride tonight while John was at baseball practice. I was keeping up quite the pace and it paid off in a Queen of the Mountain for me! Even better was that we ran into some friends and rode with them for a bit. The bike just always makes me feel better, and I really do love riding with Andy.

New Kitchen Computer
About ten days ago, Andy was working on some upgrades to our kitchen computer. One of the upgrades ended up killing it and requiring a new motherboard. Andy found one on eBay, but it would ship from China. I really did not want to wait the month that it would take to get the replacement motherboard because the kitchen computer is my main computer. I use it for everything, including paying our bills. So, we bought a new one from NewEgg for $400. I love it! The monitor is larger than the old one and it matches the stainless steel appliances.
And, we did buy the new motherboard for the old computer. Andy is going to replace it, so that we can sell it. That means that we get rid of the old machine and we even might make a bit of money off of it. It’s a win-win.
