Ducks and a Pyramid

We started the day at the Peabody Hotel for the Peabody Duck March. It was a unique experience, and you should definitely go if you ever get the chance.

After that, we went to the Memphis Pyramid that was once a sports arena, but it is now a massive Bass Pro Shops.

While there, we took the elevator to the top and then had lunch at the Lookout Restaurant. It was rainy and overcast, but it was still amazing views!

After lunch, we did some shopping and wandered around the massive store to see all the fish tanks, displays, etc.

It was a great trip to Memphis even though it was a little too short.

Memphis Zoo

We spent the day at the Memphis Zoo.

There were several things that we liked about the zoo like Cat Country. It is the first time that I have been to a zoo where all the big cats were active.

The elephants were also fun to watch.

The sea lion show was fun, and we got a good laugh out of their antics.

We always love the meerkats, and this one was definitely curious about us as well.

One of the things that we did not like is that the zoo had only one food place open, and it was very busy as there were several school groups. We honestly expected more as the Memphis Zoo is supposed to be one of the top ten in the country. All in all, we enjoyed the different animals, but I do not think that we will go back anytime soon.

After we were done, we headed back to the hotel and spent a little time in the pool. Then, we headed back to Beale Street for dinner and live music.

Tomorrow, we are going to check out the Memphis Pyramid before heading back to the Cape Girardeau area.
