Laura is packed and ready to leave tomorrow. She just has a few things left, but that is all things that need to be packed after she gets ready in the morning.
As part of her last day here, Laura and I joined Andy at Shakespeare’s after the Green and Black ride.
It is hard to believe that Laura leaves tomorrow. It does not seem possible.
We spent the last day in Colorado taking Brian around to the different sites. Of course, we had to visit the Breckenridge Troll because it was important that Brian see it.
Then, we headed into Frisco for some wandering, drinks, and dinner.
It was a great end to vacation. We all head home tomorrow.
The Colorado weather was the winner of today. It was not supposed to rain until the afternoon, but it was cold and just starting to rain at the start line.
By the time Andy reached the top of Fremont Pass, he was wet and cold. One of the SAG drivers told him that several people were being picked up along the route because of it. He made the decision to turn around and come back to Copper Mountain. As I told him, he has ridden this ride many times and has nothing left to prove. While he was disappointed that he did not finish, he made the right decision. Brian and Jeff did finish, but they are both faster than Andy and, admittedly, a bit crazy!
We spent the rest of the day hanging out around Copper Mountain and enjoying the traditional team Spaghetti Dinner.
It was still a great day despite the Colorado weather.
I have finally lost enough weight that my wedding ring fits on my ring finger again even in the altitude of the Colorado mountains. I found myself a little teary-eyed.
