Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
We were on the road by 5:30 am – complete with three bikes and lots of luggage.
It is Colorado or bust! First, we must make it through Kansas.
Seriously, that state is a lot of flat. A. LOT. I was very happy to see Colorado.
We arrived in Idaho Springs about 4 pm and met up with the team. While I hung out with Lauren, the men took off for a ride.
It was a quiet night with a tasty dinner at the local brewery. #Mtevansorbust tomorrow.
Let the packing begin! The Big Tree Cycling Team trip starts tomorrow.

Chicago-style Deep Dish Pizza is what’s for dinner. Now, Pepperoni or Sausage?!?
Andy put an antenna up on our house today so we can receive local channels. We cancelled DirecTV because of the cost. We already had Netflix and Amazon for streaming, and we also subscribed to Hulu with live channels. We will see how it goes. With the three streaming services, we will be spending $75 less per month. I think that alone is a positive change!
We did not start the day intending to have a night out, but it ended that way. Andy and I started at Gunter Hans after work.
Then, after a Girl Scout meeting and dinner out for the boys, we headed to DogMaster Distillery. They make tasty drinks! Andy had the Crazberry Cooler and I had the Blackberry Smash. We have to go back to try all the other options…
We ended the night at Logboat Brewing where Jeremy met us for a beer.
It was a great, fun night out with my husband. It has been 24 years together and I still LOVE these nights.
We have two, hanging flower baskets on our front porch. A sparrow built a nest in one of the baskets and a wren built a nest in the other. The sparrow eggs have hatched and there are three babies. The wren laid five eggs, but they have not hatched yet. Our hanging baskets must be great places to raise baby birds, though I feel bad for the mama birds. Every time we open the front door, we scare them off.
