Someone was very excited to be able to draw on the wall in my new office. Whiteboard paint makes for a happy kid.

I find Laura like this a lot. Today, she is listening to a book.

Sometimes, second place is enough. The Mid-MO Stars played their hearts out all weekend in some serious heat.

John played really well and only made a few mistakes. His confidence level this year compared to last year makes me smile. He knows he can do it now. A full count is no problem. That ball is going in play. His instincts are sharper and he throws with confidence. His base running has improved so much. It was a tough end to the championship game, but he loves this team. He looks forward to baseball every day and he cannot wait to play next weekend. So, for today, second place is good enough. GET’EM NEXT WEEKEND, STARS!!!

John’s team played two games today in the heat. They played really well! The won the first game 16-4 and the second game 17-2.

We were done at the diamond by 2:30, and I was thankful. It was really hot! We spent the rest of the day hanging out at the pool and spending time with our baseball family.

It will be early to bed tonight. Bracket play is tomorrow!
John decided to catch some sleep before we get to St. Louis. Baseball Tournament #2 is this weekend and the weather looks to cooperate (as long as you don’t mind 95-degree heat).

The ground has FINALLY dried out enough to continue deck work. The platform is in and the post holes are dug.

Tonight, we bought the concrete to fill the holes. We are one step closer to new stairs!
