The sunset is always beautiful at Cooper’s Landing.

Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time
Laura started her internship at MU’s Raptor Rehabilitation Project this week. She will be working 2-3 times per week. Summer has begun!

The baby robins on the support beam for our deck will be leaving the nest soon. They have grown so much and are beginning to flap their wings.

We went to John’s final concert of Junior year this evening.

All the bands sounded great!

It is hard to believe that we are so close to another year of lasts.

This is how Momma Kassel does Mother’s Day. I dug in and helped my returning college student unpack.

It was a long few hours of cleaning, but we got a lot done. We cleaned out her entire closet, staged a box to pack for storage, cleaned out clothes she no longer wears from her dresser, cleaned every shelf, built a pile of clothes for donation, built a pile of things to store from her childhood, built a pile of things to sell, and threw out a full garbage bag of junk and trash. Even though our upstairs landing and guest bedroom are full of more things to put away, I spent the day doing what I love most – just being a mom.

Now, it is time for some relaxation, wine…

…and dinner with my family.

Happy Mother’s Day!

My Scouts are off enjoying a weekend at Camp Hohn.

John is finishing up the cooking portion of the Camping merit badge. He needed to make a snack, dinner, and a dessert.

They had a beautiful weekend for camping!
