Eagle
I present the second Eagle Scout of Troop 523!
Laura officially earned the rank of Eagle at her Board of Review tonight. Andy and I cried when the reviewers made the announcement. It was so great watching her add the date to her Scout book.
The reviewers were impressed with how well she answered the questions and also commented that her Eagle project was very impressive.
One of Laura’s best Scouting friends also earned the rank of Eagle tonight. It was so fun watching Laura and Nora celebrate together!
It was a long road to get here, and several adults helped to pave Laura’s path to Eagle. Three of them – Laura’s Scoutmaster (Mike Odette), her Eagle coach (Matt Pigg), and the Scoutmaster for Troop 706 (Amanda Fues) – were all in attendance for her Board of Review.
She completed another mountain. I AM IN AWE OF YOU, LAURA. Your Dad and I are so, so proud of you. You did it!
Bread
One of our friends gave Laura a gift basket of her favorite things for graduation. Included in the basket was a French baguette. I guess if she is going to eat the bread, she might as well dig right in…
Graduation Open House
It was a great day celebrating Laura’s graduation from high school.
We spent the day eating good food, delicious desserts, and enjoying the beautiful weather.
A lot of amazing family and friends stopped by throughout the day to celebrate with us.
In the end, it was great to see Laura get to spend time with so many friends and just enjoy the day. We will be tired tomorrow, but today was worth it.
Congratulations again to our Graduate! We love you to the moon and back and then some, Red!
Senior Table
After seeing different Senior tables at all the open houses, Laura decided she wanted a Senior Table. She spent about 30 minutes picking out what she wanted to showcase, and I ordered some different pictures. I think it turned out great! Laura’s Graduation open house is tomorrow!
