While 3/4 of the Kassels were vacation vibing in Aurora, CO, I am super thankful for the two families who made sure that John got to Nashville, got to his baseball games, and even agreed to house him.

It takes a village, People, and it is friends like them that make it all worth doing.

Laura and I took advantage of the resort on our last day while Andy was at the Grand Chapter sessions. We ate a great lunch at one of the restaurants called Garden & Grain. We split an appetizer and a pizza.

We made sure to get Laura some ice cream from the marketplace and get a picture of her with the bear statue.

We wrapped up the evening with Andy at the closing banquet.

It has been a great trip, but I miss John. We leave for home first thing in the morning.
While Andy was busy with Grand Chapter, Laura and I spent the day in vacation vibe mode. We lounged around the pool.

We relaxed around the resort. Laura read books and I enjoyed wine and the views.

It was pretty much the perfect day.
We spent the day enjoying the Gaylord Rockies Resort before the start of Sigma Chi Grand Chapter.

I took a walk and enjoyed the mountain views.

After breakfast and visiting the Sigma Chi vendors, we spent the afternoon at the outdoor pool and lazy river.

Grand Chapter officially began with the opening reception on one of the lawns. The food was great with options like bison, elk sausage, and lobster mac and cheese. We were also treated to a beautiful sunset.

I am sure the next few days will go very fast, so it is important to pack in as much relaxation as possible!
You have to go when you see a sign for something that is the “World’s Largest”. Today, we discovered the World’s Largest Easel in Goodland, Kansas. It was so worth the five minutes off Interstate 70!

While Andy, Laura, and I are packing for Sigma Chi Grand Chapter in Colorado, I made a packing list for John. He leaves for a baseball tournament in Nashville on Friday, and he has to pack himself. I hope that I have not forgotten anything on his new packing list…
