I really do not like having my picture taken. So, when the head coach of John’s baseball team said he wanted to put my headshot on the staff page of the Mid-MO Stars website, I was less than thrilled. Sometimes, you do what you have to do.

John took the picture and I cropped it for the website. I don’t hate it, but I won’t say that I like it either.
John has school pictures on Tuesday, so Andy took him to get his haircut today at Sport Clips. It is the first time that John told the stylist how he wanted his hair cut.

I cannot believe how old John looks these days. It is crazy.

Andy and I took an hour to go to McGinty’s Pub today to enjoy a really wonderful stout beer, Perennial’s Prodigal. It was a quiet hour with just my husband. We do not get time like that very often these days.

Thirty years ago today, Andy was initiated into the Sigma Chi Fraternity while he was a Freshman at Western Illinois University. As he would say, the fraternity was the one thing that has shaped his life more than any other. It gave him a guide for life, taught him leadership and responsibility, and made him a better person. Thank you to the Men of Sigma Chi who have given Andy so much.

Laura is full of smiles as she enjoys the blueberry pie that she worked so hard to make!
