Copper Mountain Resort

We spent the day with Laura bumming around Copper Mountain Resort. We took her picture in the big blue chair. She does not look quite as small as she used to.

We ate donut sundaes at Sugar Lips.

We enjoyed a calamari snack at Sawmill while it rained outside.

Then, it was an early dinner and packing. We leave tomorrow.

Copper Triangle

I drove to Idaho Springs to pick up Laura from NOAC this morning.

While I was gone, the rest of the group began Copper Triangle.

We started hearing from various people around 10 am with updates of where they were on the course. The first finisher arrived just a little after 12 pm, and the others trickled across the finish line for the next two hours.

It was a beautiful day for a ride, and everyone finished!

After showers and celebration drinks, we enjoyed my traditional spaghetti dinner and just hung out. It was a great last night for most of the group as they leave early tomorrow morning. It was a successful, fun day all around!

Top of the Mountain

We went to the top of Copper Mountain today to check out the new restaurant and enjoy Happy Hour.

We had a great time enjoying the mountain views and laughing until our sides hurt.

This has been such a fun trip so far. Copper Triangle is up next!

Mount Blue Sky

Today was all about climbing Mount Blue Sky, or what used to be Mount Evans. The group left right about 8:15 for the summit.

Two went to the summit.; two went to Summit Lake; and one went to Goliath Mountain. The weather was perfect, and it was a successful day all around! After returning back to the condo, we spent the rest of the day enjoying Copper Mountain Resort.
