The teenagers were not particularly happy that I wanted to get some nice pictures of them today. I had a 50% off coupon code plus free shipping for Christmas cards from Shutterfly, so I was not missing the opportunity to use that. We spent about 15 minutes in our backyard with only minimal grumbling, and I am happy with the results.

I could not decide between the previous photo and this one as my favorite of the kids.

This is my favorite of Laura.

This is my favorite of John.

This is the proverbial “goofy” picture.

Our Christmas cards are officially ordered! I can cross another thing off my long holiday list.

While the rest of the Kassels are at a Scout campout, I took the opportunity to begin cleaning for Thanksgiving. Besides scrubbing the bathrooms, I took the opportunity to clean all the glassware on the shelves behind the basement bar. I knew we had a lot of glassware, but I did not realize just how much until I had to wash it all by hand. It is a little hard to believe that the glassware in the picture below is only about one-third of what was on display. It looks so much better now and the mountains of dust are gone. I can check a big project off my list!

Laura is coming to a road near you. She is official!

John chose this ugly Christmas sweater for his upcoming band events. I mean, Darth Vader just screams Christmas to me!

I love all the different Fall and Christmas decorations, but this turkey just always makes me laugh!

Andy is starting the upstairs carpet clean. The guest bedroom is first on the list.

It is partly in anticipation of Thanksgiving, but also because we had cats for five months and there was a ridiculous amount of cat fur everywhere.

The guest bedroom carpet looks so much better! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the clean carpets.
