Going Through Life One Blog Post at a Time

Troops 523 and 706 are camping this weekend at the Mastodon State Historic Site. It looked like a really great place to see! The Scouts hiked just over 1.5 miles to the museum.

There were some really neat things to see.

I think we will need to go visit as a family, so that I can check things out too!

Even though there are still 11 days left in February, I have accomplished my goal for “Freezer February.” The last two meals go into the freezer today. We now have 10 prepared meals, 2 bags of Tomato Soup, 12 English Muffin Pizzas, 40 Breakfast Burritos, and 12 Breakfast Rolls in our freezer. Just for fun, I also bought a 10-pound chub of ground beef and made 10 pounds of burgers that are ready for the grill. To celebrate, I think I will take this weekend off from cooking and clean the house instead!

First, the University of Missouri decided to go into remote operations tomorrow.

Within ten minutes, Columbia Public Schools decided to cancel classes tomorrow too.

We will all be home!
John helped to welcome a new member to Troop 706 this evening.

It is interesting to realize that, despite being only 13, John is now one of the older Scouts in Troop 706 and that the new members will look to him and his Den for guidance and leadership.
