Laura had another Mornings at the River at Cooper’s Landing with the Raptor Rehabilitation Project. Andy went down to see her and snuck in a picture.
Summer Internship
Laura is doing her summer internship work for her degree program at the MU Raptor Rehabilitation Project. She gets to help rehab injured raptors while learning how to care for raptors. She also is participating in different educational experiences with the education ambassador birds. Today, she was at Cooper’s Landing for one of those experiences. Laura is really enjoying herself, and she even gets to work with her best friend, Annabelle! I think this summer will really benefit Laura in making the ultimate decision regarding career specialization.

Bike Ride
I took another bike ride on the Katy Trail today, but this time I headed the other way and ended up just past Cooper’s Landing at mile marker 163. I am slowly getting back on the bike.
Scenes from a Birthday Ride
It was a beautiful day to ride my bike on the Katy Trail. Andy and I rode to Rocheport for lunch at Meriwether Cafe. Andy had to leave right after we ate because he had an afternoon meeting, so I took my time getting back to McBaine. I stopped and enjoyed the Missouri River.

Finally, I admired the Big Tree and the blue sky.
It was the perfect day for a birthday bike ride. Happy 52nd Birthday to me!
