I was looking through this year’s Marching Band memory book and this was included on the Middle School Night pages. Of course, I had to reach out to the person who made the book because this picture… These two are my favorite things.

John took a field trip today to Kansas City with the Eighth Grade Band. He has a great time and enjoyed all the sites. First, they ate lunch at Arthur Bryant’s. John said the barbecue was “SO GOOD”, but it was very filling.

Second, they visited the American Jazz Museum. He said that it was really neat to see all the instruments and learn about some of the musicians.

Then, they went to the Negro Leagues Museum. John loved this stop and really liked seeing everything.

The final stop of the day was the Kansas City Royals game. The Royals lost to the New York Yankees, but John said this was the best part of the day!

John said he had lots of fun and it was great seeing everything.
Laura and I went to see “Puffs” tonight at Hickman High School.

The play was great and the actors were fantastic. It was good getting to spend some time with just Laura.

It is time to add another book to Laura’s book pile in her room. She will be reading this one right away as she needed it for a class at school. She is now up to 33 books read in 2022.

We took an impromptu trip to Andy’s Frozen Custard.

I love watching this kid bat.

We do not know what award Laura will be receiving, but we will find out on Monday!
