It was the final marching band event of the year – the banquet. It was fun watching the kids hang out, be silly, and wrap up the season.

The cakes were great…

…but the slide show and friendships made throughout the season were even better.

They are ready to take on Dripfest, otherwise known as the Troop 523/Troop 706 Halloween Party.

In case you are wondering, John does not “do” Halloween. We were lucky to get that boy in a costume even when he was young. It was a testament to what a little kid would do for candy. Alas, only Andy and Laura dressed up tonight.

The kids marched for the last time this season at the Mizzou Homecoming Parade.

It has been such a great time watching this band. The show was fantastic, and all the kids worked so hard. Most of all, it has been so much fun watching our kids. We already knew that Laura loved marching, but to see John love it too… Well, it makes us both proud. It has been a great season. Until next year, Marching Kewpies!

It is the last marching band practice of the year as tomorrow’s Mizzou Homecoming Parade is the end of the season.

We tried a new macaroni and cheese from Half-Baked Harvest that has five different types of cheese in it. I am calling this one a success!
