Going Through Life One Post at a Time
As always, I am behind in finishing the calendar for the grandparents and for us. I only have two more months to go!
It was a very merry Christmas at the Kassel Castle. The day began with opening our stockings, which quickly transitioned to opening all the presents.
Laura got several books, clothes, and the Lego Flower Bouquet.
Andy and I did silly presents for each other this year, meaning he got Halloween socks in his Christmas stocking, dad joke socks (“Dad Jokes are good for the sole”), and a daily dad joke calendar.
Andy won all the points in the silly gifts category though… I got Dirt Devil cleaning slippers!
John got the “big present” this year. We finally bought him the upgraded trumpet! He was completely stunned and so excited.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing, eating great food, and spending time together.
It was a great Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours from the Kassel Castle!
The stockings are stuffed and ready for Christmas morning!
Oh, Andy… Sometimes, I really do not know what to do with you. If you know, you know.
One of Laura’s high school friends, Abbey, came to visit tonight. It was so great to see her!
We drove through the Veterans United Christmas Light display tonight.
We had not gone in a few years. As always, it was beautiful with some very interesting Christmas trees, and Veterans United has added some new displays.
My favorite of all the different displays is still this Santa.
It is just a few more days until Christmas!
Laura’s best friends from high school are here for a sleepover tonight.
I love that they continue to hang out even though they are all in college now. As I went to bed, there was a whole lot of laughter coming from the basement. I love this group of kids (young adults)!
