Oh, oven. Thanksgiving is two days away and family starts arriving today. Now is NOT the time to decide to have issues…

Unbeknownst to the other, Andy and I have both wanted Christmas bedding for years. I ordered some this year without telling him, and I figured he would grump at me when it arrived. Instead, he told me that we should consider getting some Christmas bedding about two days before it arrived. It is a win-win!

Our house is a weird mix of fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations…

My Scouts are camping at Lake of the Ozarks State Park this weekend. Laura is now the first knot master for Troop 523, earning the purple level.

For dinner on Saturday evening, they celebrated Thanksgiving. Fried Turkey and all the fixings were on the menu.

Despite the cold weekend, all three of my Scouts are enjoying themselves!
While we would typically NEVER put up our Christmas tree before Thanksgiving, it is happening this year. The Illinois Blumes will be here for Thanksgiving, and they helped me decorate last year. However, because it takes so long to get our Christmas tree up, I just did not have time to put it up before they left. Well, I promised that I would put it up early this year so that they can help decorate it. Thank you to Andy and the kids for getting everything needed out of the attic. The Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!

I took the kids to Legally Blonde, the first theatre production of the school year, at Hickman High School.

The musical was very well done, and I was impressed. John liked it too despite it being a musical. It was a fun night with my teenagers.

It is frozen pizza for dinner for one Kassel…

…while the other three Kassels enjoy French Onion Soup.
