Last Day

We spent the last day in Colorado taking Brian around to the different sites. Of course, we had to visit the Breckenridge Troll because it was important that Brian see it.

Then, we headed into Frisco for some wandering, drinks, and dinner.

It was a great end to vacation. We all head home tomorrow.

Copper Triangle

The Colorado weather was the winner of today. It was not supposed to rain until the afternoon, but it was cold and just starting to rain at the start line.

By the time Andy reached the top of Fremont Pass, he was wet and cold. One of the SAG drivers told him that several people were being picked up along the route because of it. He made the decision to turn around and come back to Copper Mountain. As I told him, he has ridden this ride many times and has nothing left to prove. While he was disappointed that he did not finish, he made the right decision. Brian and Jeff did finish, but they are both faster than Andy and, admittedly, a bit crazy!

We spent the rest of the day hanging out around Copper Mountain and enjoying the traditional team Spaghetti Dinner.

It was still a great day despite the Colorado weather.

Advantage – Us!

We took full advantage of our first day of vacation. Andy started with a bicycle ride and encountered some cute wildlife.

Laura and I started by taking a walk to the Copper Mountain Resort sign for a picture and enjoyed some coffee and chai.

After lunch, we went to Downhill Duke’s, which is our favorite watering hole, for drinks and appetizers.

We ended the day in Frisco for shopping and a tasty dinner.

It was a great first day of vacation though it went by way too fast!
