It is time to attempt to clean the baseball pants now that we are home. Somehow, I do not think that Shout Gel is going to get the clay dirt out of these white baseball pants. It is time to do some research…

When you are so close, you go.

Talledega Superspeedway was a really neat experience for all of us. We got to go into the broadcast booth.

We got to take a lap on the track and see the 33 degrees of banking. It is really steep, and Andy had to crab walk down after climbing up to the wall.

The highlight for me was standing on the start-finish line.

I am so glad that we discovered just how close Talladega was to the VRBO where we stayed. It was so fun to go!
It was another day of baseball, and the Hickman C Team went 1-2 (1-4 overall). They played two more JV teams, and all the games were very close. John played better today, so we all hope the nerves are gone. It has been a lot of fun watching all the different Hickman teams!

And, the season began for the Hickman C Team.

They played two games today. They lost both, but they played really well against Junior Varsity teams. John definitely struggled at the plate, but he looked good in the outfield.

There are three games tomorrow!
The Lowerys are those friends that you can call three weeks before you arrive in Alabama, and they take the day off work and school to come spend the day in “nowhere Alabama.”

It was just like old times except that the “littles” are bigger, and the adults are older.

It was good food, good drinks, and lots of laughs. It was so great to see them!
To Alabama, we go! It’s baseball time!
