Dorm Room

Laura sent a couple of pictures of the new furniture in her dorm room. SEMO upgraded the beds.

They also got new desks.

Since each single room only has one desk and one desk chair now, Laura lost some drawer and seating space. So, I spent some time on Amazon and Wayfair this weekend. I bought a comfortable folding chair from Wayfair that can be both a regular or floor chair and a shelf with drawers from Amazon to go next to her desk.

I also spent some time on Etsy purchasing a couple of new posters as she has some open spaces on her walls after she moved a few things around. She chose two owl posters that will match her decor very well. I particularly like the one below. It is a beautiful print.

We will be heading back to Cape Girardeau in two weeks to take the things that I had shipped here and to take the things that she did not need immediately. Completed dorm room pictures will be coming soon!

The Last Parent Preview

And, so it begins with a last. It is John’s Senior season with the Hickman High School Marching Band.

They presented the first movement of this year’s show, “Broken Hearts”, for family and friends at John’s last Parent Preview Night. While I cannot wait to see the rest of the show, I know that our time following our kids in their Kewpie Marching Band adventures is nearly over. How lucky the kids are to have been a part of this fantastic program.

Bring on Senior Year!

Last Day

Laura is packed and ready to leave tomorrow. She just has a few things left, but that is all things that need to be packed after she gets ready in the morning.

As part of her last day here, Laura and I joined Andy at Shakespeare’s after the Green and Black ride.

It is hard to believe that Laura leaves tomorrow. It does not seem possible.
