Hanging Out
John and I spent part of the afternoon at Daniel Boone Little League hanging out and watching the Mid-MO Stars play. We miss the baseball family, but I do have to admit that it was pretty nice not having to worry about getting to the ballpark at a specific time and knowing that we could leave whenever we wanted.

Scouting and Baseball
While Laura was finishing another requirement for her Camping merit badge…

…and earning Brotherhood in Order of the Arrow,…

…John got to experience something new as well. He played baseball while it snowed.

Order of the Arrow
Andy and Laura are at Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation for Order of the Arrow. Laura will serve as an Elangomat and earn her next honor – Brotherhood. I hope they both have a great weekend of Scouting!

Water and Snacks
Lots of things change, but some things never do. The kids are 16 and 14, and I am still making sure that their water bottles are full, and they have school snacks every morning. I know I will miss this someday soon.

CPS Jazz Night
This evening, we were treated to a great jazz concert that included jazz ensembles from the three local high schools.

The kids are both in the Jazz Lab. The band did so well!

We stopped at Shakespeare’s Pizza on the way home for dinner, and it was fun to listen to the kids talk about the concert. I really love the band program at Hickman High School. There are two great directors and so many opportunities!

Recipe
I finally found the right recipe. This recipe for homemade SpaghettiOs is a keeper!
