Softball
The kids and I drove to Southeast Missouri State University today to watch Avry play softball.

It is always an adventure with the Illinois Blumes and today was no different.

We got to experience our first hail delay and eat some tasty Chicago-style hot dogs. Laura and Addyson got to learn about the “wristband.”

It was a great day spent with family, and it does not matter that the softball was not the best. The only thing that would have made it better is if Andy could have been with us. It was great getting to see this crew for the second time in less than a month!

The Griller
The Griller decided to use the charcoal grill this evening.

Batting Cage
John is struggling so much at the plate and is in the worse slump of his baseball career. So, I suggested a trip to the batting cage since he had no practice today. By the end of the hour, John was looking much more like himself, and he was cranking out the hits. I just hope that session translates when he steps into the batter’s box at the next game.

Embrace My Age
Well, since I will be 50 in just over a month, I figure I might as well embrace my age!

National Honor Society
Laura was pretty excited to receive this email today. Way to go, kiddo! Your Dad and I are so very proud of your academic achievements. We love you to the moon and back and cannot wait to see what more you can accomplish!

Wine Delivery
Our In Hoc Vino wine arrived today. I am looking forward to drinking a few of these when we can sit outside in the beautiful Spring weather!
