I bought a Christmas present for myself – a photo blanket – from Shutterfly. I love it!

After two days of hard work with many volunteers from Scout Troops 523 and 706, Laura’s Eagle Scout project is framed and nearly ready to begin placing all the ambulance parts inside. The beneficiary of this project is MU’s EMS Education, and this will help to train so many EMTs in the coming years. An ambulance trainer in an indoor environment ensures that training can happen year-round.

I am so proud of this kid for her perseverance! It is so hard to make the rank of Eagle when you are a Senior, but she started her scouting experience about two years ago and has not looked back. I have no doubt that we will soon be celebrating another Eagle Scout in Troop 523. Fly high, Laura! You got this.

Laura had a prominent role in the Court of Honor for the first Eagle Scout of Troop 523. She did a great job, and congratulations to Caitlin! Hopefully, we will be celebrating Laura’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor soon.

When you wake up at 5:00 am because the cat is purring so loudly that you cannot sleep anymore, you get out of bed. Then, you look for things to do. Well, the Christmas cards need to be stuffed, labeled, stamped,…

…and mailed! It is time to cross another Christmastime task off my list!

I said it last year and I will say it again. You are never too old for a picture with Santa.

John’s winter band concert was this evening.

The Symphonic Band played three different pieces – “The Wolves of Alaska”, “On a Catalonian Carol”, and “Fantasy on a Burgundian Carol”.

They did a great job and we enjoyed watching John’s band as well as the other two bands. Laura performs next week with the Wind Ensemble. How is the semester nearly over? This year is flying by.
