MU Jazz Fest
The three Hickman High School Jazz Bands performed at MU Jazz Fest today.
Laura and John play in the Gold Jazz Lab band. We had not yet heard them play this year, and they did such a great job!
While all the Hickman bands received the highest ratings, I was most excited to watch Laura play my Dad’s tenor saxophone. Three generations have now played that instrument.
Book Nook
Andy and Laura spent nine hours putting together Laura’s new “book nook.” It is really an intricate model, and it definitely catches your eye when you look at one of her bookshelves. They did a great job building it!
Pressure Canner
Andy has been making Turkey Stock this week, and he used our pressure canner for the first time. It is exciting to be able to make our own shelf-stable canned goods.
