I have finally lost enough weight that my wedding ring fits on my ring finger again even in the altitude of the Colorado mountains. I found myself a little teary-eyed.

Going Through Life One Post at a Time
I have finally lost enough weight that my wedding ring fits on my ring finger again even in the altitude of the Colorado mountains. I found myself a little teary-eyed.
While we are in Colorado, John stayed behind for his last Hickman marching band camp.
He is working hard and having fun with his friends!
We took full advantage of our first day of vacation. Andy started with a bicycle ride and encountered some cute wildlife.
Laura and I started by taking a walk to the Copper Mountain Resort sign for a picture and enjoyed some coffee and chai.
After lunch, we went to Downhill Duke’s, which is our favorite watering hole, for drinks and appetizers.
We ended the day in Frisco for shopping and a tasty dinner.
It was a great first day of vacation though it went by way too fast!
From Columbia to Wilson, Kansas, and the World’s Largest Czech Egg…

…vacation has begun!
John’s last marching band camp began today. It is the beginning of the end.
John’s summer baseball season with the St. Louis Tigers came to an end tonight at the SLABA All-Star Game.
This team sort of fell in our lap when his former team did not have enough players. It turns out that it was the best choice because he played with two of his Columbia friends, the other players are just really great kids, and he loved the coach! We also had a great time hanging with the families and the whole experience was just super fun!
John had a blast all summer, and his season culminated with being named team MVP for league play.
We are proud of you, #19! If this is your last summer season, you certainly did it right. It has been an honor and a privilege being your baseball parents. We love you to the moon and back and then some!
We spent the afternoon at the end of season pool party and barbecue with the baseball team. It was a great afternoon with a lot of laughs and fun. Even the rain could not stop it!
I have really enjoyed this team and their families. This was a great wrap-up to the baseball season.
