John got some exciting news this evening. He made the 16U league All-Star team for his summer baseball team, and he will be the starting left fielder in the All-Star game on July 27!
Even more neat is that his coach texted me the below after he made the announcement to the team and parents.
Then, he followed up that text with this…
John was second in the MVP voting for the 16u league! How cool is that? Unfortunately, with the way the league is scheduled, we could not go to every game because it meant some really late nights during the work week. Sometimes, the job has to come first. However, I could not be prouder of this kid. To be acknowledged like this by the other coaches in the league is amazing.
To John – Way to go! If this really is your last season of baseball, you are going out the best way possible – playing high-quality baseball and having all the fun doing it. See?!? You really CAN play this game, and the other coaches noticed. Your Dad and I are so proud of you, and we cannot wait to watch you play in the All-Star game!
